I Want to Know

Question: Does my purpose determine my destiny, my destiny determine my purpose or are the two completely unrelated? I believe that both are predetermined, but are they one in the same? Can your lifes turn of events alter your destiny if you are not walking in purpose? I ask these questions because I want the answers. Community, let me know.

  1. Gurl, thats deep and definitely makes me think. I currently feel both destiny and purpose are predetermined but different. I believe ones destiny will ultimately be (predetermined), but the journey one takes towards our destiny fulfilled can vary (not as predetermined and mainly due to free will). I don't believe that ones purpose is so concrete. God didnt carve in stone specifics about each of His creation's life's purpose but rather generally wants that same from/for all. That is, something like to live for Christ and bring others to Him. I also feel ones purpose is their reason for being and when we serve our purpose completely and reach our destiny, God will call us (believers) home. P.S. Do you feel ones purpose and gifts/talents relate?

  2. Your purpose is why GOD in his infinite wisdom created you. Often our purpose may consist of a single moment in time, but it has such a far reaching effect that it's impact is felt centuries later. You are destined to fulfill your purpose. Your purpose is your intended outcome, the use you were created for(By GOD), and set before the mind by GOD for consideration. Your destiny is predetermined, set in stone and will ultimately order or usher you into your destiny. God knew Esther would make the choices she made,GOD knew The King would choose Esther. Destiny put her in place to accomplish her purpose. Destiny is the soveriegn will of GOD at work. Ordering the lives of both, believers and non-believers. Just as he hardened Pharaohs heart and touched the king Darius', King of Persia to let the Hebrew people return home. Destiny is ordered by GOD,your purpose is the fulfillment of his soveriegn will.

  3. If I may, I'd like to respond to Anonymous' question from above that says, "Do you feel ones purpose and gifts/talents relate?".
My answer- I think that our gifts that come from God and our talents that are learned, aide us in fulfilling our God-ordained purpose.

  4. And just like that, I have developed a new perspective. Keep it coming!
